Wayne’s most recent positions include serving as Executive Vice President-Operations and General Counsel of a major building materials supplier until its acquisition by a competitor in April 2023. Following the merger, Wayne accepted a temporary role as Assistant General Counsel to assist with integration and transitioning of contract and legal matters, before departing in July 2023.

Prior to his tenure at the building materials supplier, Wayne was the Chief Counsel – Division Operations and Contracts at a large, privately held parent company of numerous U.S.-based construction companies. He joined the building materials supplier in February 2013 and led the company through several acquisitions and divestitures, significantly growing its gross revenues from less than $100 million in 2013 to over $750 million in 2022. He also played a pivotal role in negotiating and closing the sale of the company in April 2015.

Wayne holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law and Religion from Carleton University (1995) and a Juris Doctor from Western New England University School of Law (1998). He began his legal career at a large full-service firm in Minneapolis, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, commercial lending/borrowing, and general corporate law. Wayne also practiced at several other firms, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, commercial lending/borrowing, commercial real estate, and general corporate law.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Wayne immigrated to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, where he lived for several years. He currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with his wife Lynda and daughter Isabella.
